TEAMWORK AFRICA

2024 MISSION GOAL

(OUR GOAL)

In June, July and August of 2024, UPC is raising money for TEAMWORK AFRICA. The mission of TEAMWORK AFRICA is to partner with Liberian believers and churches to meet the vital spiritual, physical, and social needs in their local communities.

Our primary goal at UPC is to provide financial help to build wells in communities that have no clean water and provide scholarships to students for a quality Christian education to promising, dedicated and impoverished students. They call them "Starfish Kids". TEAMWORK AFRICA is also working on village transformation, school building improvements, agricultural improvement programs, and women empowerment programs.

We have envelopes to place your special TEAMWORK AFRICA offering into the gold offering plate in the back of the church. The envelopes are in the literature rack on the wall in the front entry of the church. You can also put money directly into the gold offering plate.

In 2023 UPC collected $2065.00 for TEAMWORK AFRICA.

In 2024 UPC collected $4806.00 for TEAMWORK AFRICA.

PRESBYTERY "CHRISTMAS JOY OFFERING"

Nov. 1 till Dec. 31

ySupporting Past, Present, and Future Leaders

The Christmas Joy Offering has been a cherished Presbyterian tradition since the 1930s. The Offering distributes gifts equally to the Assistance Program of the Board of Pensions and to Presbyterian-related schools and colleges equipping communities of color. The Assistance Program provides critical financial support to church workers and their families. Presbyterian-related schools and colleges provide education and leadership development while nurturing racial and ethnic heritage. This has been a Presbyterian commitment for nearly 140 years.

$408.00 was collected and sent to the Presbytery of the Twin Cities for the Christmas Joy Offering in 2023.
